The Dipbech is a creek about five and a half kilometers long in the area of the Luxembourgish canton of Esch an der Alzette . It is a western and left tributary of the Alzette .

geography

course

The Dipbech arises from several source streams west of Esch.

The longest of these rises at a height of about 341  m in a meadow directly north of the border between Luxembourg and France. The various source streams merge west of the Laangwiss .

Shortly thereafter, the Dipbech disappears underground, then feeds a small lake underground and then reappears on the surface in a green area in the Escher district of Lallingen, directly east of the Boulevard Charles de Gaulle ( national road 31 ). It now flows in the district of Lallingen (French: Lallange) in an easterly direction through allotment gardens and green spaces and first crosses under the Boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte ( N.4C ) and then the Rue de Luxembourg ( N.4 ).

The stream finally flows west of a former ArcelorMittal factory hall at a height of 279.9  m from the west and from the left into the Alzette .

Catchment area

The catchment area of the Dipbech is bounded in the north by the Kiemelbach , in the south by the Ruisseau Beler and in the west by the Chiers .
