The Kiemelbach is a creek almost eight kilometers long in the area of ​​the Luxembourgish canton of Esch an der Alzette . It is a west-northwest and left tributary of the Alzette .

The Kiemelbach arises from several source streams east of the Sassenheim district of Soleuvre . The main line rises at a height of about 345  m in a green area northeast of Soleuvre.

The stream first flows in an easterly direction through grassland, then reaches the Sassenheim district of Ehlerange and crosses under the A.13 . South of town Mondercange flows him on his left side of Bréckenderbaach and one kilometer later on the same side of Kazebaach to. The Kiemelbach now changes to the south-southeast and crosses the A.4 southwest of the Monnerich district of Foetz , then turns again to the east, again crossing the A.13.

It now flows along the southern edge of Foetz and finally flows into the Alzette from the left at an altitude of around 275  m north of Schifflange .

Catchment area

The catchment area of ​​the Kiemelbach is bounded in the north by the Klausbaach , in the south by the Dipbech and in the west by the Chiers and its tributary Rouerbaach .
