Dirk Rehbein (born August 14, 1967 in Langenfeld ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Dirk Rehbein played at VfB 06 Langenfeld until 1981 , went through Bayer 04 Leverkusen's youth departments from 1981 and became German A youth champions in 1986 with a 2-0 win over Nuremberg, to which he contributed both goals. He made his debut on December 6 of the 1986/87 season at the age of 19 for the Werkself in the Bundesliga , which won the UEFA Cup that same season . Only in August of the 1987/88 season completed Rehbein his second, while last game for Leverkusen before the 1988/89 season for SC Fortuna Köln in the 2. Bundesliga moved. In Cologne, the midfielder could not finally prevail with 15 appearances in 1988/89 and 21 appearances in 1989/90 , but scored one goal each in both seasons.
Rehbein then moved up to the last round of the German Democratic Republic for at this time FC Berlin called Oberliga BFC Dynamo . With the GDR record champions, Rehbein only achieved integration into the third-class Oberliga Nordost in the qualification relegation for the first all-German Bundesliga season . In two other seasons Rehbein played at FC Berlin in the major league until he joined 1. FC Union Berlin in 1993/94 . With 13 goals in 22 games, Rehbein had a significant share in the Union's qualification for the newly created regional soccer league as the third highest German division, in which Rehbein scored another six goals in 22 appearances in the 1994/95 season .
Rehbein then signed a contract with Bundesliga promoted Hansa Rostock , with whom he took sixth place in 1995/96 with 24 appearances and came to another use in the DFB Cup . In 1996/97 Rehbein ran only in three league games and completed another cup use, whereupon he left the club at the end of the season and moved to the regional league tennis Borussia Berlin , which was promoted in 1997/98 . From 1999 Rehbein played again at BFC Dynamo until he ended his active career in 2001.
Rehbein's son Lukas, born in 1993, has also been active at BFC Dynamo since the 2013/14 season.
