Dirks Paulun

Dirks Paulun (born December 10, 1903 in Shanghai , † July 28, 1976 in Hamburg ) was a German poet and author who wrote primarily in the Hamburg Missingsch .

Life

The son of the ship's doctor Erich Paulun came to see his grandmother in Klein Flottbek after his father's death . He was originally supposed to be a businessman and also worked in this profession in China export, but then embarked on a journalistic career. In 1931 he became a volunteer and later an editor at Segeberger Kreis- und Tageblatt . In 1946, along with Hans Harbeck and Carl Bay, he was one of the founders of the Wendeltreppe cabaret , in which Heinz Erhardt later participated.

He wrote his columns and “ Döntjes ”, which have been published in the Hamburger Abendblatt since 1948, as well as many of his books in the Hamburger Missingsch . He was called "Missingschprofessor".

Dirks Paulun was married, had a daughter and was buried in the grave of the Zedelius family in the Ohlsdorf cemetery , grid square P 10.

Honors

A street is named after him in the Hamburg district of Blankenese .
