Extraction and presentation
Dithiazanine iodide can be obtained by reacting 1-methylbenzothiazol thiodide and beta (ethyl mercapto) acrolein diethyl acetal .

Dithiazanine iodide is a crystalline light-sensitive green solid. It decomposes when heated.
use
Dithiazanine iodide is used as a fluorescence contrast agent in three-dimensional fluorescence tomography and as a dye in genetic analysis. It was also used in veterinary medicine as an insecticide or antiparasitic.
