The Dittiberg is a wooded hill in Zuchwil and Derendingen , Canton Solothurn , Switzerland .
geography
The highest point of the hill is 467 m above sea level. M. In the east end of the hill in a steep slope to the river Emme , in the north in the Zuchwiler level. In the south and west it borders on the Bleichenberg . The Zuchwil community is the owner of the mixed forest .
geology
The Birchi - Bleichenberg -Dittiberg range of hills consists of tertiary molasses . On the Dittiberg, sandstone is visible on the Emme . In the ice ages this molasse was covered with a moraine layer.
Origin of name
The name Dittiberg is traced back to a little well in the Swiss German dictionary , from which midwives are supposed to bring small children. Ditti is an old name for toddler.
Recreation area
The Dittiberg is made accessible by hiking trails for local recreation . There is a Vitaparcours on the Dittiberg and the neighboring Bleichenberg . The Dittiberg can be reached by public transport , the closest from the “Derendingen-Kreuzplatz” bus stop.
