Dmitri Alexandrowitsch Tschudinow ( Russian Дмитрий Александрович Чудинов , English transcription Dmitry Aleksandrovich Chudinov ; born September 15, 1986 in Bratsk , Irkutsk Oblast ) is a Russian professional boxer and former interim world champion of the WBA in the middleweight division.
His brother Fyodor Tschudinow (* 1987) is also a professional boxer and former world champion of the WBA in the super middleweight division.
Amateur career
Tschudinow was one of the world's best amateur boxers in his youth. In 2003 he won the European Cadet Championships in Kaunas and the World Cadet Championships in Bucharest , as well as the Junior World Championships in Jeju in 2004 and the European Junior Championships in Tallinn in 2005 . He also achieved second place at the European Cadet Championships in 2001 in Liverpool and 2002 in Lviv , as well as second place at the 2002 Cadet World Championships in Kecskemét . He is also the Russian Cadet Master in 2001 and 2002.
In the elite class (adults) he was Russian runner-up in 2007 and 2008, after he was eliminated in the final bouts against veterans Matwei Korobow and Maxim Koptjakow . In 2008 he also won a bronze medal at the World Cup in Moscow .
Professional career
In July 2009, he made his professional debut in Reno , Nevada, USA, defeating Otis Chennault in the first round. In its subsequent build-up phase he fought in the USA, Russia and England, where he could beat Milton Núñez, Jorge Navarro and Grady Brewer , among others . In December 2013, he boxed in Moscow for the interim World Cup of the WBA, defeating the Colombian Juan Novoa prematurely. In June 2014, a unanimous victory over the undefeated Dane Patrick Nielsen followed .
In August 2014 he defeated the French Mehdi Bouadla by knockout in the third round. He played his next fight on February 28, 2015 in London against Chris Eubank junior , but was defeated by tKo in the twelfth round. In December 2015 he beat the German Benjamin Simon prematurely.
In January 2018 he lost on points to Lolenga Mock and in May 2018 on points to Azizbek Abdugufaron . Another defeat followed in November 2018 against Patrick Mendy. In 2019 he lost prematurely to Robert Parzeczewski and Louis Toutin.
