Chris Eubank junior (* 18th September 1989 in Hove , East Sussex , England , as Christopher Livingstone Eubank ) is a British boxer in the super middleweight division . He is the son of former WBO -Weltmeisters in Central and Super Middleweight Chris Eubank , after which he is named.

Professional career

The normal boom made his professional middleweight debut in 2011. He won his first 18 fights, most of them by knockout . Against his undefeated compatriot Billy Joe Saunders (20-0-0) he suffered his first defeat at the end of November 2014, he lost through a split point decision.

The following year, Eubank won the interim world championship of the WBA association when he defeated the Russian Dmitry Chudinov in the 12th round by TKo. He defended this title against Tony Jeter and Gary O'Sullivan also each through technical knockout.

At the end of March 2016, Eubank captured the British Championship (BBBofC) when he defeated Nick Blackwell with TKo in round 10. He defended this belt three months later against Tom Doran also by knockout and also brought him his first defeat. On February 4th of the following year, another K.O. victory followed against the Australian Renold Quinlan, which earned him the marginal, uninfluential world title of the IBO . That fight was Eubank's first super middleweight division.

WBSS

In the summer of the same year, Eubank met the German - Armenian Arthur Abraham . This fight was about participation in the lucrative World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) for the Muhammad Ali Trophy . Eubank defeated Abraham, who had no chance in this fight, in the Wembley Arena in London clearly and unanimously on points (120: 108, 118: 110, 118: 110) and thus qualified for the tournament where he was in the quarter-finals on 7 October 2017 met the strong Turkish Avni Yıldırım .
