Dmytro Valerijowytsch Masurtschuk ( Ukrainian Дмитро Валерійович Мазурчук , born January 19, 1999 , Ternopil Oblast , Ukraine ) is a Ukrainian Nordic combined skier .

Career

He took part in the European Olympic Winter Youth Festival 2015 in Vorarlberg and Liechtenstein . He started in the Nordic Combined competition and finished 30th after jumping from the largest ski jump in the Montafon ski jumping center . In cross-country skiing he was able to improve by one place. In the same year he also took part in the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships , where he started in both individual competitions and finished the competition in 40th and 42nd place.

At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2016 , he improved his results from the previous year and came in 20th and 21st place in the two individual competitions. He won his first points in the Continental Cup on December 18, 2016 in the German city of Klingenthal . After jumping in the Vogtland Arena , he finished 23rd and dropped back to 29th place in cross-country skiing. With that he collected two points for the overall ranking in the Continental Cup.

At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2017 , he finished 29th and 28th in the two individual competitions. With his 13th place at the Continental Cup in Eisenerz , he was among the top 15 for the first time. Together with Wiktor Passitschnyk , he took part in the 2017 Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti . After he only occupied places at the end of the field in the individual competitions, he started together with Wiktor Passitschnyk in the team sprint and had to finish the race by lapping in 14th and last place.

On January 13, 2018, he started in a team competition in the Nordic Combined World Cup for the first time . At the World Cup in Val di Fiemme he started together with Wiktor Passitschnyk in the team sprint and finished 16th.

At the Ukrainian Nordic Combined Championships in 2019, Masurchuk won the championship title in the team competition. In February 2020, he also won the ski jumping championship title on the middle hill .
