Viktor Wiktorowytsch Passitschnyk ( Ukrainian Віктор Вікторович Пасічник ; born December 2, 1992 in Kremenez ) is a Ukrainian Nordic combined skier who seldom starts in ski jumping competitions.

Career

Nordic combination

Viktor Passitschnyk made his debut in the Nordic Combined Continental Cup on December 4, 2010 in Steamboat Springs, USA, with a 49th place. He also achieved the same placement in both individual competitions at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2011 in Otepää . A year later, the Junior World Ski Championships in 2012 were somewhat more successful , when he was 22nd in the Gundersen competition on the normal hill with a subsequent cross-country distance of ten kilometers. His best overall result so far in the Continental Cup was 36th place in the 2012/13 season .

In Nordic Combined World Cup he made his debut on February 9, 2013 in Kazakh Almaty with space 36. At the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in the Italian Val di Fiemme he reached in the team sprint together with Vitaliy Kalinichenko 14th place. On December 8, 2013, he scored the 25th World Cup points for the first time in Lillehammer . A few weeks later he took part in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . There he finished 30th on the large hill and 42nd on the normal hill in the Gundersen competitions. At the end of the 2013/14 season , he was 60th in the overall World Cup. A year later he also took part in the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun and was twelfth in the team sprint with Ruslan Balanda .

Passitschnyk also took Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Finland's Lahti part, reaching in the individual competitions the places 30 and 39. In the team sprint, he joined together with Dmytro Masurtschuk also to the Ukrainian duo but was taken out of the race after being lapped. On February 3, 2018, he scored in Japanese Hakuba his best individual result in the World Cup with space 16th

In March 2019 Passichnyk became Ukrainian champion. He had won this title several times in previous years.

Ski jumping

Passitschnyk started in ski jumping only in competitions of the FIS Cup , for the first time on August 6th and 7th, 2011 in Szczyrk, Poland . His best placement so far was a ninth place in Râşnov in September 2013.

The Ukrainian Championships 2018 in Vorokhta won Passitschnyk the gold medal.
