The shape of the rock is reminiscent of a ship's bow protruding into the valley. In local pronunciation it is also called the roof rock . This once led to confusion with the Drachenfelsen and one even at Emmi Böck posted forecast a living there dragon . The dragon is said to have burned the tips with its glowing breath so that nothing could grow on them. With a little imagination, you can easily imagine the petrified dragon with spikes on its back and drooping head.
