The 56th Rally Sweden was the second of 16 FIA - World Cup races 2007 . The rally consisted of 20 special stages and was held between February 9th and 11th.

Race report

Marcus Grönholm (Ford) won the Rally Sweden for the fifth time in his career . The Finn took the lead in the fifth special stage and could not be taken back.

Second placed Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) had an exciting weekend behind him. He totally screwed up the start of the first special stage and stalled the engine. Loeb started a race to catch up from 20th place. On Saturday morning he even had the chance to dispute Grönholm for victory, but in the afternoon he made a mistake in the tire choice.

Third on the podium was Grönholm's team-mate Mikko Hirvonen , who rounded off the success of the Ford works team. Hirvonen fought for third place with Henning Solberg (Ford) and Daniel Carlsson (Citroën) over the whole weekend , but was later able to pull away. Solberg finished in fourth and Carlsson in fifth.
