Doldenhausen is a district of the Upper Swabian town of Mindelheim and part of the formerly independent municipality of Westernach .

geography

The place is about four kilometers north of Mindelheim and is connected to the main town by the MN 25 district road. The Burghaldengraben rises in the village and flows into the Mindel .

history

Doldenhausen was first mentioned in a deed of donation from 1258 with a Dominus Ber de Tolsenhusen . In 1363 the village, which at that time consisted of only one estate, belonged to the Mindelberg estate. Since the 15th century, the Mindelheim hospital enfeoffed farmers with farms and goods in the village. In 1660 the St. Mauritius Chapel was built.

The municipality Westernach (with Doldenhausen) was incorporated into the district town of Mindelheim on January 1, 1976.
