Mindelau is a district of the district town of Mindelheim in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria . On July 1, 1976, the once independent municipality of Mindelau was incorporated into Mindelheim. The wilderness of Jägersruh also belonged to Mindelau .
Mindelau is located southeast of Mindelheim on the MN25 road.
history
The first documentary mention of an Adalgoz de Mindilowa took place in 1075. The local nobility may have had its seat in the castle stables on the Stelzenberg, southeast of the village.
The manorial rule over the place passed in 1526 to the rule of Mindelheim and in 1618 to the Jesuits . From 1781 to 1808 the place belonged to the Order of Malta .
