The glacial formed by glacial Dolina Małego Szerokiego is a valley in the Polish West Tatra in the Lesser Poland . It is located in the municipality of Zakopane in the powiat Tatrzański .
geography
The valley is a southern side valley of the Dolina Kondratowa , a side valley of the Dolina Bystrej , and is surrounded by mountains up to 2005 meters high. a. the Kopa Kondracka . The rock walls in the valley are made of limestone, in which there are numerous caves, including the Jaskinia w Piekle .
The valley falls from south-west to north-east from around 2005 meters in altitude to 1300 meters in altitude. It is not traversed by any surface water. After heavy rains an unnamed mountain stream forms.
etymology
The name can be translated as "valley of the small width".
Flora and fauna
The valley lies above the tree line and is overgrown by mountain pines. The valley is a retreat for numerous mammals and bird species.

There is a high mountain climate in the valley.
Alpine farming
Before the Tatra National Park was established in 1954, the valley was used for alpine farming. After that, the owners of the alpine pastures were expropriated or forced to sell. The largest alpine pasture in the valley was Hala Kondratowa .
