Doll ( Scottish Gaelic An Dail ) is a small scattered settlement in the Scottish Council Area Highland . It is located in the traditional county of Sutherland about two kilometers southwest of Brora and about six kilometers northeast of Golspie on the north coast of the Moray Firth . To the west, Doll is partially limited by the banks of the Brora River . In 1971 Doll had 110 inhabitants, which is an increase of 35 people since 1961.
With the A9 , the most important highway in the Scottish Highlands runs directly through Doll. Although the Far North Line's tracks run from Inverness to Thurso and Wick through Doll, the settlement does not have its own train station. The nearest train stations are in Brora and at Dunrobin Castle, four kilometers southwest .
