Dolmen di Monte Maone
The Dolmen di Monte Maone is located in the north of Benetutti in the province of Sassari in Sardinia . The megalithic complex has been known since the beginning of the 20th century.

The dolmen is one of the rare hybrid systems that is partly carved into the rock and partly built with granite stones of various sizes arranged in irregular rows , on which the ceiling slab rests. The south-facing megalithic complex filled with earth has a length of 3.5 meters and a width of 1.3 meters. It comprises a trapezoidal antechamber, open at the top, with a width of 1.2 by 0.65 meters and a length of 0.87 meters. It was probably once provided with a ceiling tile. The main rectangular chamber is 1.3 meters wide, 1.75 meters long and 1.90 meters high.
