Domenico Maria Corsi (* 1633 in Florence , † November 6, 1697 in Rimini ) was an Italian cardinal of the Roman Church and Bishop of Rimini .

Life

He was the son of Giovanni Corsi from the noble family of the Marchese of Cajazzo and the Lucrezia Salviati. A later cardinal from this family was Cosimo Barnaba Corsi . He received his education from his uncle Lorenzo Corsi, who was the papal house prelate . Domenico Maria Corsi entered the service of the Curia as Apostolic Protonotary under the pontificate of Alexander VII . He was then vice-delegate in Urbino and governor of the city of Fermo . During the pontificate of Clement X , he became a cleric in the Apostolic Chamber . After the Pope's death, that appointedCollege of Cardinals made him governor of the conclave in 1676 , which with the election of Innocent XI. ended. Under the latter's pontificate, Domenico Maria Corsi became auditor of the Apostolic Chamber.

On July 7, 1687, Domenico Maria Corsi was elected Bishop of Rimini. He received his episcopal ordination on August 17th of the same year.
