Domina - Die Last der Lust is a German film documentary filmed in black and white and color by director Klaus Tuschen from 1985. The film accompanies the West Berlin domina “Lady de Winter” through her everyday life. Sometimes their work is documented with the help of hidden cameras. The premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1985 led to a legal dispute, which was due, among other things, to the unresolved image rights .

Reviews

  • "Worth seeing but as a relentless study of sexual desires and violence that exist in the taboo area, seem exotic and yet are so commonplace and widespread that entire BZ pages have to be filled with the offer of 'dominatrix and slave models'. A masculine word is used as a subtitle for the film, 'Love is a violent passion', by James Purdy . There is no talk of love in this film. ” Taz

  • “The interview passages seem awkward and not very meaningful. This may be an indication of speechlessness on the subject of femdom ; The reason is probably the still prevailing taboo. ” Datenschlag

backgrounds

  • When the film was to be premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1985, a legal dispute arose because the "Lady de Winter" portrayed did not see herself adequately and withdrew her consent to individual scenes. She also stated that it was not possible to obtain declarations of consent from some secretly filmed customers, whereupon the faces of around 14,000 individual images were made unrecognizable.
  • The documentary is partly underlaid with the song “Beat me, please please, beat me” by the Viennese band Fono Dor .
