Dominic Kodwo Andoh
Dominic Kodwo Andoh (born May 4, 1929 in Shama , † May 17, 2013 in Accra ) was the first Archbishop of Accra .
Life
Dominic Kodwo Andoh was ordained a priest on December 23, 1956 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Accra on July 3, 1971 . The Archbishop of Cape Coast John Kodwo Amissah donated him episcopal ordination on October 3 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Joseph Amihere Essuah , Bishop of Sekondi-Takoradi and Peter Poreku Dery , Bishop of Wa . Andoh was the first Ghanaian bishop of Accra. With the elevation to the archbishopric on July 6, 1992 he was appointed Archbishop of Accra.
On March 30, 2005, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation. Dominic Kodwo Andoh died of heart disease two weeks after his 84th birthday.
