Dominic Anthony Sherwood (born February 6, 1990 in Kent , South East England ) is a British actor , singer and model .

Life

Dominic Sherwood was born in Kent , South East England , in February 1990 . He attended the Oakwood Park Grammar in Maidstone . He then studied acting in Maidstone before moving to Kenya for six months . After returning to London , he signed a contract with an agency. In addition to acting, he also works as a singer and model. In 2012 he modeled for Hollister and covered two songs by Jason Mraz .

He made his acting debut as Jack Simmon in the British television series The Cut . In 2014 he played alongside Zoey Deutch and Lucy Fry the role of Christian Ozera in the fantasy film Vampire Academy , which is based on the novel Blood Sisters by Richelle Mead .

In 2014 he starred in the video for Taylor Swift's single Style from the 1989 album .

In April 2015 he was cast for the US broadcaster Freeform's Shadowhunters TV series, in which he played the male lead of Jace Herondale from 2016 to 2019 . The series is based on the novel series Chronicles of the Underworld by Cassandra Clare .

Its distinctive iris heterochromia should be mentioned as a special feature . One eye is partially brown, the other blue.
