Dominik Koll (born December 24, 1984 in Linz ) is an Austrian swimmer .

Career

He swims for the voestalpine factory association in Linz , the SK VOEST Linz . The 184 cm tall professional swimmer prefers the freestyle courses over the short and medium distances.

At the 2006 European Swimming Championships in Budapest he reached 30th place with a new Austrian record in the 100 m freestyle, 8th place in the 200 m freestyle final and 18th place over 400 m freestyle. Two years later, at the European Swimming Championships in Eindhoven in 2008 , he reached 10th place over 200 m freestyle, 16th place over 400 m freestyle and sensational with the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay (together with Markus Rogan , David Brandl and Dinko Jukić ) the bronze medal.

In Melbourne at the 2007 Swimming World Championships , he finished 9th in the 200 m freestyle and 16 th in the 400 m freestyle.

At the European Short Course Championships 2007 in Debrecen he reached 27th place over 100 m freestyle, 10th place over 200 m freestyle and 8th place over 400 m freestyle.

At the European Long Track Championships in Eindhoven in 2008 he won bronze with the Austrian 4 × 200 m freestyle relay.
