Donald Scott (middle distance runner)

Donald Scott ( Donald Magruder "Don" Scott; born November 5, 1894 in Jackson , Michigan ; † October 8, 1980 in San Antonio , Texas ) was an American middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance , and modern pentathlon .

At the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 he was fifth over 800 m in 1: 54.8 min.

In 1916 he was US champion and in 1920 US runner-up over 880 yards . He set his personal best over 800 m of 1: 52.5 minutes on June 3, 1916 in Evanston .

In 1924 he took 26th place in the modern pentathlon at the Olympic Games in Paris .
