Abby / Alice follows the red rabbit (Elmo) through a tunnel into the wonderland. Here she meets Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum ( Ernie and Bert ) and takes part in the mad hatter's ( Grover ) tea party . Her way through wonderland takes her to the king's castle ( Oscar ). When Abby is sad and believes that she cannot return home, the red rabbit reminds her that she is only dreaming.

In the Sesame Street setting, Elmo wakes Abby, who realizes that she only dreamed everything. They both decide to go outside to play.

Others

In one scene, Ernie and Bert appear as Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum. Bert asks if this is her scene, to which Ernie replies that the two do not appear in the story, this is just a common mistake. This is an allusion to the fact that Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum are often interpreted into the story Alice in Wonderland , for example in many film adaptations. In reality, the characters only appear in the sequel Alice behind the mirrors .
