Alice at the Palace is an American television film based on Lewis Carroll's works Alice in Wonderland and Alice Behind the Looking Glass . The film first screened in the United States on January 16, 1982 and was nominated for three Emmys that same year : Joseph Papp for the Production category, Theoni V. Aldredge for the Costume Designer category, and Ralph Holmes for the Lighting Designer category. The plot is based on the acclaimed New York Shakespeare Festival production by Papp and tells the classic plot of the Alice story.
