Career

Doo Hoi Kem first became active in the adult field in 2012 when she played several World Tour tournaments . The following year she took part in her first world championship , where she was among the best 64 in singles and doubles, and in July she achieved a top 100 position in the world rankings for the first time . In February 2014 she was 43rd, and in March 24th after reaching the semi-finals at the Qatar Open - after taking the lead 3-0, she lost 4-0 to Liu Jia . She was also part of the Hong Kong team that won bronze at the 2014 Team World Cup .

In 2015, she reached world number 13 in the course of the year, after making it into the last 32 at the World Cup and in the mixed with Wong Chun Ting in the semi-finals. In October, Doo took part in the World Cup for the first time , but was eliminated in the group stage. On the World Tour she also qualified for the U-21 competition of the Grand Finals, in which she won bronze. In doubles with Lee Ho Ching , she was eliminated in the first round. With the team she took part in the 2016 World Cup and the Olympic Games , where Hong Kong reached the quarter-finals. In the singles Doo also reached the Olympic round of 16 and at the Grand Finals at the end of the year place 2 in the U-21 competition. In 2017 she played successfully in doubles with Lee Ho Ching on the World Tour , so that they could qualify for the Grand Finals and advance to the semi-finals there. In mixed with Wong Chun Ting, Doo also won the World Cup bronze again and won the newly introduced mixed competition of the Grand Finals the following year. With the team they also reached the semifinals in 2018 of both the team World Cup and the World Cup , in individual the World Cup quarter-finals . At the beginning of the year she had also achieved a top 10 position for the first time with world number 9.

The mixed double of Doo and Wong remained successful on the World Tour in 2019. At the World Cup , where Doo reached the quarter-finals in singles and doubles, the two were eliminated in the round of 32, but they were able to win the Korea Open - where they beat the world champion duo Xu Xin / Liu Shiwen - as well as win the Australian Open . At the Grand Finals they were defeated in the semifinals Jun Mizutani / Mima Itō .
