Dorfen is a district of the Upper Bavarian community Icking in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district .

location

The place is 3.5 km southwest of the core town Icking and 1.5 km northwest of Wolfratshausen . However, there is a steep serpentine route with a height difference of approx. 70 m to overcome. The Loisach flows not far to the east .

The state road 2070 crosses the village and joins the federal road 11, which runs on the eastern edge of the village . The A 95 is to the west .

The Wolfratshausen Station with the S-Bahn S7 is about 1.3 km away.

history

On May 1, 1978, the previously independent municipality of Dorfen was incorporated into Icking. This also included the Ickingen districts of Alpe , Attenhausen , Gut Meilenberg and Schlederloh .

Attractions

In Dorfen there are a number of private and public buildings from the early 18th century, including the baroque church of St. Johannes Baptist and some farmhouses from this period that are still inhabited today.
