Irschenhausen is a district of the Upper Bavarian community of Icking in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district .
The place is north of the core town of Icking on the TÖL 19. Not far to the east runs the B 11 , and the Isar also flows to the east . The A 95 runs west.
Culture
The Hollerhaus at Neufahrner Weg 3 is a cultural meeting point for readings, exhibitions and concerts. It served from 1995 to 2008 as "Pension Resi" in the television crime series Der Bulle von Tölz .
Attractions
In the list of architectural monuments in Icking , eight architectural monuments are listed for Irschenhausen :
- The core from the 14./15. The Catholic branch church of St. Anian, dating back to the 19th century, is a hall building with a retracted choir and a western onion dome . The church was probably changed in the 17th century and extended in 1922.
- The Eggenberg house (Zeller Weg 27), built around 1910, is a former villa , now a high school . The two-storey plastered mansard hipped roof building is built in baroque forms with arbor on the central projection. The building has a gable , corner bay window , a double flight of stairs and a western commercial wing.
- The three former farmhouses (herb gardens 27, herb gardens 32 and Neufahrner Weg 4) are flat saddle roof buildings .
- The two country houses (Krautgärten 23 and Neufahrner Weg 2) are also former farmhouses with flat saddle roofs.
- The one from the 16./17. The wayside shrine (near the herb gardens, next to the pond) consists of a tuff stone pillar with a lantern top .

- DH Lawrence (1885–1930), English writer, lived in Irschenhausen in September 1927

- Rainer Maria Rilke (1875–1926) stayed in Irschenhausen at the end of August / beginning of September 1914 and in January 1915; today's house (then Pension Schönblick) reminds of it with a memorial plaque
- Gebhard Werner von der Schulenburg (1881–1958), writer, publicist and theater author, lived in Irschenhausen in 1936
- Leo Geyr von Schweppenburg (* 1886; † 1974 in Irschenhausen), officer, most recently general of the tank troops in World War II and commander in chief of tank group West
