history

Sacrament cabinet

Lambrechtshagen was first mentioned on July 8th, 1233 in a document from Bishop Brunward . After that, the Lambrechtshäger Church belonged to the Archdeaconate Rühn . On August 9, 1286, Doberan Monastery won half the tithe of Lambrechtshagen. After 1300, the von Schwaß and von Barnekow families were registered as owners of large estates. This family is probably connected with the foundation of the church, because a Eucharistic cabinet in the church is adorned with a carved coat of arms of the "von Swertze" (= Schwass). Around 1400 the von Gummern family was the owner. In 1505 Anna von Gummern sold the estate to the Mecklenburg dukes. With the dissolution of the Marienehe monastery in 1552, the parish of Lambrechtshagen came under the control of the Lutheran regional church. The first pastor after the Reformation was a Johann Leverick in 1541, of whom it was said that “he was still a papist”.

Building description

Floor plan according to Matthes (Schlie)

The church is a single-nave building, the choir is the oldest part and made of field stones and closed by a vault. One can still classify it in the transition period from the Romanesque to the Gothic, the slit-shaped light openings indicate this. The brick Gothic nave was built later, construction time was at the end of the 14th century. Ceiling paintings from this period can still be seen in the vault. A tower with a four-sided helmet was added to the west. A sacristy is built on the south side of the church and a vestibule is built on the north side. Two bells from the 19th century originally hung in the tower, only one of which has survived.

Interior decoration

Organ from 1995
altar

The altar and pulpit from the 18th century are simply designed. The gallery to the west of the nave was built in 1750 and painted with eight pictures by JE Bendhusen in 1759. These show biblical motifs such as the sacrifice of Isaac, Rebekah at the well, the finding of Moses in the Nile, Daniel among the lions. The Communion chalice and jug are remarkable. The Renaissance goblet by Rostock goldsmith Hans Klein from 1611 is made of gold-plated silver, the jug is made of pewter and was manufactured in 1747.

organ

On May 28, 1995, the parish celebrated the organ consecration. Made possible by a donation, an organ sounded for the first time in the Lambrechtshäger church. The two-manual instrument was built by the organ building company Eule in Bautzen . Lothar Mannewitz took care of the color design of the two triple wing doors .
