Lubolz village church
The village church Lubolz (also village church Groß Lubolz ) is a Protestant church in the Lubolz district in Brandenburg, which belongs to Lübben (Spreewald) . It belongs to the parish of Lübben-Land and Niewitz in the Lower Lusatia parish of the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia .
Architecture and history
The church, located in the Lubolz district of Groß Lubolz, was built between 1692 and 1694 as a half-timbered building . The floor plan of the nave is rectangular. There is a three-sided apse on the east side . A boarded, rectangular roof turret towers over the west gable . To the south of the nave there is a small vestibule, also made of half-timbered, which also dates back to the time the church was built. A round-arched door with a hand-forged top lock located there is noteworthy and is dated 1694. The roof of the church is a gable roof running and towards the choir hipped .
The church was renovated in 1996 and 1997, and the rededication took place on November 30, 1997. The renovation was financed with funds from the German Foundation for Monument Protection .
Furnishing
The ceiling of the church hall is designed as a beam ceiling and dates back to 1694. The horseshoe gallery in the nave also dates from the time the church was built. The parapet of the gallery was painted around 1910. A wooden pulpit altar from the beginning of the 18th century stands in front of the eastern gallery in the apse . A small painting in the altarpiece shows the resurrection . A picture of the Lord's Supper is to the left of the altar. The pulpit between acanthus cheeks and twisted columns is more recent and dates back to the second half of the 19th century. The pulpit door is decorated with an oval picture depicting the crucifixion.
In the church there are two barred boxes from around 1700 .
The organ was built in the first half of the 19th century and was built by Johann Christoph Schröther the Younger .
