Lubolz , Lubolce in Lower Sorbian , is a district of the city of Lübben (Spreewald) in the Dahme-Spreewald district of Brandenburg . The place was created on January 1, 1974 from the amalgamation of the previously independent municipalities Groß Lubolz ( Wjelike Lubolce ) and Klein Lubolz ( Małe Lubolce ).

Lubolz is located in Niederlausitz on the border with the Spreewald . Neighboring towns are Hartmannsdorf in the east, the city of Lübben (Spreewald) in the southeast, Treppendorf in the south, Rickshausen (to Bersteland ) in the southwest, Freiwalde (to Bersteland) and Schönwald in the west and, a little further away, Krausnick (to Krausnick-Groß Wasserburg ) in the North. Two municipal roads lead from Lubolz to federal highway 115 , which runs about two kilometers away.
history
Groß Lubolz was first mentioned on February 20, 1345 in the Luckau document no. In 1421, the name was added large .
Klein Lubolz was first mentioned in a document in 1400. The addition of the name Klein was added in 1427.
In the period from 1692 to 1694, the Lubolz village church was built as a half-timbered building in the Groß Lubolz district and renovated in 1996 and 1997.
After the Congress of Vienna , Klein Lubolz came to the Kingdom of Prussia , while Groß Lubolz came to the Kingdom of Saxony . The border ran along the cable trench . Until December 31, 1973, Klein Lubolz belonged to the Lübben district and Groß Lubolz to the Luckau district . On January 1, 1974, both places were merged to form the municipality of Lubolz, which was in the Lübben district and was incorporated into Lübben (Spreewald) on December 6, 1993 in the newly formed Dahme-Spreewald district .
