architecture

View from the north

The nave was made from mostly hewn field stones . They are evenly and carefully layered on the southern church wall in the lower area. In the area above with the three segment-arch-shaped windows accentuated with light colored bezels, the lines partially run. Above the arches, significantly smaller stones and granite fragments were sometimes used. The north church wall shows a similar picture: The first five to six layers are carefully layered. At the height of the middle window there is a rectangular, grayish plastered porch made of masonry bricks with an arched, single stepped portal and a small, rectangular window on the east and west sides. Theo Engeser and Konstanze Stehr give the nave as 9.5 meters with a width of 7.60 meters. The slightly drawn-in, straight choir , 5.45 meters long and 6.30 meters wide, rests on a field stone plinth, the stones of which were unevenly layered in the plinth, while the three lines above it were laid evenly. However, the majority of the building is made of brick and plastered white. In the eastern area there is a segment arch- shaped window on the north and south side, which is designed as a panel in the choir wall . A small opening can be seen in the east gable, which is also brightly plastered. The 4.10 meter long church tower is completely boarded up except for a base in the eastern area and at 7.30 meters it almost takes up the width of the nave. The field stone base allows the assumption that the tower was built from field stones at an earlier time up to the eaves height of the nave. On the upper floor , two small and rectangular sound arcades are built into each side . Behind it hangs a bell from A. Modelhauer from Brandenburg / Havel from the year 1562. The saddle roof of the nave is covered with a reddish beaver tail , as well as the transverse saddle roof of the northern extension and the pyramid roof of the tower. This ends with a tower ball , weather vane and star.

Furnishing

The simple altarpiece was created by the carpenter A. Halm in 1715. There are also remains of medieval wall paintings on the walls and a horseshoe gallery from the 17th and 18th centuries. Century, the southern part of which was removed. Inside there is also a memorial plaque for the victims of the First World War .
