Building description

West view

The building with a circumferential plinth was essentially made of half-timbering, which was then plastered . The four-sided choir has not been drawn in and has a small arched window on each of the two eastern sides. They are accompanied by a much larger arched window on the north side.

The nave connects to the west . It has a rectangular floor plan and is comparatively simple. On the north side are three large windows that take up the shape of the window in the choir to the north. The openings were evenly distributed over the facade. There are also three large arched windows on the south side. One of them is arranged to the east in the direction of the choir, two more to the west. In between is a simple, rectangular gate.

The church tower takes up the full width of the ship. It can be entered from the west through an equally rectangular gate. Above it is a simple cross and a small, rectangular window. There are two more gates on the north and south sides. The gable is boarded up. The tower helmet , which is also boarded up, rises above it . It has two small sound arcades arranged in pairs on each side . Below is an off-center clock tower on the north, south and east sides. The helmet ends with a transverse hipped roof as well as a tower ball and weather valve.

Furnishing

The pulpit altar of the church

The pulpit altar was probably built in the year of the consecration in 1686 in the form of an aedicula . At the beginning of the 18th century, an unknown artist rebuilt the altar. An altarpiece decorated with cartilage was removed. The altar panel with the scene of the crucifixion of Christ has been attached to the upper pulpit door since that time. The predella with a depiction of the Lord's Supper was preserved . The polygonal pulpit is decorated with painted figures of Salvator mundis and the evangelists .

The horseshoe gallery stands on slender posts and is connected to the altar in the northeast by a corridor. The inside of the structure is flat covered. A memorial to the north of the building commemorates those who died in the world wars.
