Schwansee village church
The Evangelical Lutheran listed village church Schwansee is in Schwansee , a district of Großrudestedt in the Sömmerda district of Thuringia . The parish Schwansee belongs to the parish area Stotternheim in Kirchenkreis Apolda Buttstaedt the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
description
The plastered hall church was built from rubble stones in 1676 . It has a polygonal end to the choir . Its slate roof tower in the west has a square tower that carries an eight-sided pointed helmet . The interior of the nave has circumferential double-storey galleries and is covered with a wooden barrel vault. The simple pulpit altar dates from the beginning of the 19th century. The organ with eleven registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built in the 18th century by an unknown organ builder .
