Tilman Strasser
Tilman Strasser (* 1984 in Munich ) is a German author and literary mediator .
Life
Strasser grew up in Gauting near Munich. After graduating from the Otto von Taube High School , he studied German language and literature and history at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and musicology at the Robert Schumann University , then creative writing and cultural journalism with Hanns-Josef Ortheil and Stephan Porombka at the university Hildesheim and literary studies at the University of Bologna . He has published texts in numerous anthologies and realized book projects for various independent publishers , and has received grants and sponsorship awards for his work . After completing his studies, he worked as a screenwriter in Cologne (including for the Filmpool film and television production and UFA Serial Drama ), as a journalist in Berlin (including for Tagesspiegel and Nachtkritik.de ) and as a lecturer at universities and colleges (including the University of Cologne , Art Academy for Media Cologne ). From 2015 to 2018 he was responsible for communication and programming for the Literaturhaus Köln .
In 2015 his novel Hasenmeister was published by Salis Verlag , which was received positively by the critics. Since 2017 he has been the host and organizer of the series between / miete nrw , which presents readings in student shared apartments . He is a co-founder of the Cologne comic festival and the interdisciplinary poetry festival satellites , founded the text workshop Kölner Schmiede (which sponsored the authors Berit Glanz and Demian Lienhard , among others ) and the Cologne Reading Club Festival . Strasser lives in Cologne and in the Neandertal .
Trivia
Strasser completed a musical education a. a. as a young violin student at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich and as a member of the Tölzer Boys Choir for many years . He worked through the tension between aesthetic experience and drill in his debut novel .
