church

The church was probably built in the first half of the 13th century. It is a hall building made of field stone with a west tower and a retracted choir . The church was destroyed in the Thirty Years War . In 1681 the church was rebuilt. The roof and the equipment was renewed. The high church tower was built in 1682, this was repaired in 1733. Today's tower was built in 1790. The tower is a half-timbered construction with an octagonal top and a tail hood with an open lantern. In 1852 the tower was also repaired, in that year it was covered with slate. The clock in the tower is from 1907.

The church has also been repaired and changed over time. In 1843 the windows were enlarged. From 1847 to 1848 the main entrance was moved to the west side and three windows were installed on the south side. The interior was renovated from 1873 to 1877. In 1936 and 1937 the half-timbered construction of the tower and its slate covering were renewed. At the same time a heater was installed. The windows were also given light glazing and the interior was painted light. The tower was renovated again from 1988 to 1985.

Furnishing

The pulpit altar dates from the reconstruction period, exactly from the year 1682. The pulpit altar consists of a polygonal pulpit, on the side there are thin pillars and openwork cheeks. There is a crucifix above the pulpit ceiling . In 1892 the stairs to the pulpit were renewed. The Baptism dates from the late 17th century. It consists of a hexagonal cup and hexagonal shaft. The baptismal font is made of pewter and was created in 1868. The organ dates from 1783, but in 1902 a new work by A. Schuke from Potsdam was installed. The organ stands on a horseshoe-shaped gallery , it probably comes from the same year as the organ.

The bell was cast by Johann Gottfried Weinhold in Dresden in 1736 . It is made of bronze . There are also three epitaphs in the church. They are for the pastor Jacob Tronicke and his children Johann Jacob (1701-1705) and Johanna Eleonora (1703-1705). The weather vane from 1790 is now on the gallery.
