Village church water soup
The evangelical village church water soup is a listed church building in water soup , a district of the municipality Seeblick in the district Havelland in Brandenburg .
Architecture and building history
The village church in water soup was built in 1756 as a half-timbered building on the foundation of the previous building. On the west side, the church has a roof tower , which was rebuilt as a brick building in the late 19th century .
The village church was extensively renovated in 1886 and 1900 . At around the same time, the half-timbered walls of the nave were covered with brickwork . The renovation of the church tower began in October 2009 and was completed in September 2010.
The parish of water soup belongs to the overall parish of Hohennauen , which also includes the parishes of Parey, Spaatz, Wolsier and Witzke. She belongs to the parish of Nauen-Rathenow in the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia .
Furnishing
The church has a pulpit altar from 1703, which was built by J. Chr. Richder from Cammer . It is built on winding pillars and acanthus cheeks . The polygonal pulpit is equipped with four relief figures of the Evangelists on the corner pillars, these apparently date from the 15th century.
Also in the church is an oval mortuary tablet of the child Albrecht Cristoph von Wuthenow, who died in 1705, in an acanthus frame. Above the lintel there is a rectangular slab in relief made of sandstone with the alliance coat of arms of Th. Phillipp von der Hagen and the Countess von Wartensleben, and above it a band of inscriptions dated 1775. This has been in the church since 1999 after it was recovered from the previously demolished manor house .
The organ was made in 1895 by the organ builder Albert Hollenbach from Neuruppin . Around 1977 the planning was changed by the organ builder Hans Voit from Rathenow , and in 1998 a fundamental renovation was carried out by the Eberswalder Orgelbau company . The church bell is from the Middle Ages .
Commemoration
In the village church there are two memorial plaques to commemorate the victims of the wars of liberation and the fallen residents of water soup in the First World War . The inscription on the stone slab in honor of those who fell in the Wars of Liberation reads:
