Doris Pitkin Buck
Doris Pitkin Buck (born January 3, 1898 in New York City ; died December 4, 1980 ) was an American science fiction writer.
Life
Buck graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 1920 with a BA and in 1925 from Columbia University with an MA, subsequently worked with theater groups and gave courses at Ohio State University .
In 1952, her first SF short story, Aunt Agatha, appeared in the Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction . She also remained loyal to this magazine in the following publications. She has been nominated multiple times for the Nebula Award and was a founding member of the Science Fiction Writers of America .
