The Dornhauser Mühlbach (on the upper and middle reaches of the Mühlbach ) is a left tributary of the Altmühl in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia .

The stream rises as a Mühlbach at an altitude of 479  m above sea level. NN on the northern outskirts of knights . The stream feeds some ponds in front of the site and then flows through Pfofeld . After him the Mühlbach takes on the Weihergraben from the right . From Pfofeld and on to the northern edge of Dornhausen, the stream flows through a wide open landscape next to the WUG 1 district road . To the north of the town of Dornhausen , which gave its name to its subsequent lower course , it takes up a stream that rises in the east near the Roman fort Theilenhofen ( Lage ). The now Dornhauser Mühlbach flows west past the place, crosses under the federal highway 13 and flows after a short west-south-west lower course and a total course of about 6.7 kilometers in length not far from the municipal boundary to Dittenheim at an altitude of 412  m above sea level. NN northeast of Gundelsheim Altmuhl and southwest of Dornhausen into a left Backwater the Altmühl to the river island hunters Ried .
