Robert-Casimir Dosseh-Anyron
Robert-Casimir Tonyui Messan Dosseh-Anyron (born October 13, 1925 in Vogan , Togo , † April 15, 2014 in Lille , France ) was Archbishop of Lomé .
Life
Robert-Casimir Dosseh-Anyron was ordained a priest for the Apostolic Vicariate of Lomé on December 21, 1951 . He studied philosophy and was sent to Rome by Bishop Joseph Strebler SMA in 1948 to study, where he received his doctorate in theology in 1955 with summa cum laude with a thesis on the Eucharist in the works of Bossuet. He was a pastor in Lomé and pastor of St. John the Apostle in Tsévié, 35 km north of Lomé. In 1960 he became Director of Catholic Education and a few months later Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Lomé.
Pope John XXIII appointed him on March 10, 1962 Archbishop of Lomé. The Archbishop of Munich and Freising , Julius August Cardinal Döpfner , donated him to the episcopal ordination on June 10, 1962 ; Co - consecrators were Joseph-Paul Strebler SMA , Bishop Emeritus of Lomé, and Bernardin Gantin , Archbishop of Cotonou . Robert-Casimir Dosseh-Anyron was the council father of all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
On November 30, 2001, Pope John Paul II accepted his early resignation for health reasons.
