The Evangelical-Lutheran Trinity Church is in Ebenshausen in the Wartburg district in Thuringia .
history
According to the carved inscription in the keystone of the south door, this church was built by Caspar Wemeburg (1662–1732) in 1714 and has a floor area of 14.5 × 7.6 m. Following the instructions in the literature, there was already a previous building.
The tower
On the west side of the roof stands the slated, square church tower with an octagonal tail dome .
inner space
The interior is covered by a barrel vault . The building is unadorned with rectangular windows and doors. The font has an octagonal shaft. It was donated by a believer in 1716. The baptismal bowl and the silver chalice are made of brass . The pulpit and the altar behind it on the east wall date from the 18th century .
The bell
In 1957 the church received a steel bell ringing .
The initiation
In 1990 on the fourth Advent the interior renovation was finished. The then regional bishop Werner Leich inaugurated the church. Around later the tower received its conservation measure, crowned with a new top and weather vane . One year later, the new altar window was created and handed over by Irma Weber from Frankenroda .
