action
David worries his parents. Since his brother's drug death, the boy has been withdrawing more and more. Concerned that David might commit suicide, they put him in an education camp. There Captain Kennedy leads a brutal regiment. Soon the ghost of a dead boy appears to David who mysteriously died in the camp. In his visions, Jonathan tells him how he died. After attempting to escape, Jonathan was mistreated at Kennedy's command, shot by Kennedy himself and walled up in the cellar. Shortly before his death, Jonathan swore revenge. Although David suffers from the reprisals of the head of the institution, he keeps rebelling. He even manages to grab Kennedy's weapon and humiliates him with the pistol at the ready, as he usually did with his charges. It remains to be seen whether he will ultimately kill him.
Background information
The director chose a juvenile prison as a location that was previously used in the film Mateo .
The budget of Driftwood was probably quite low, explains Tim Sullivan in the audio commentary on the DVD, which has been available in stores since October 24, 2008.
