Falkinburg has worked as an active wrestler for the two largest wrestling organizations in North America, World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment . His greatest achievement was receiving the WCW World Heavyweight Champion title three times .
Today he works as a fitness advisor and motivational speaker.
Career
American Wrestling Association
In the 1980s, Page Falkinburg was still working as a bouncer. He was friends with various musicians such as Van Halen .
At the age of 32 he decided to become a wrestler. Falkinburg signed with the American Wrestling Association and got the gimmick of the Diamond Dallas Page . There Page Falkinburg was initially active as a ring companion. So he accompanied Paul Diamond and Pat Tanaka to the ring. Falkinburg was often asked why he would not actively compete as a wrestler himself, but the AWA management has repeatedly certified that he would not be needed as a wrestler there.
Page Falkinburg also turned down an offer from the WWF because the WWF seemed too big to him and he knew he would not have a great career there.
Florida Championship Wrestling
After leaving the AWA, Falkinburg went to Dusty Rhodes ' Florida Championship Wrestling and took on the role of commentator. At FCW he worked with Gordon Solie .
World Championship Wrestling
About Dusty Rhodes' Page Falkinburg came to World Championship Wrestling , where he made his debut as ring companion of the Fabulous Freebirds . Falkinburg impressed the WCW officials with good promos and therefore he should help the newcomer Diamond Studd with his career start.
When Bill Watts , the former owner of the Universal Wrestling Federation , took control of WCW, Falkinburg was less and less on TV. So he started as an active wrestler. He tagged Vinnie Vegas and they established themselves as the Vegas Connection on the middle fight map. Due to a biceps injury, Page Falkinburg was out for the remainder of 1992.
When he returned in 1993, WCW Page had Falkinburg compete as a solo wrestler. Falkinburg got to know the valet Kimberly during his injury break , who now became his manager Diamond Doll in front of the cameras . Both became a couple in private and got married.
The WCW embroiled Falkinburg in 1994 in a feud with Johnny B. Badd . When Eric Bischoff took over the leadership of the WCW, Page Falkinburg received a promotion. He was allowed to start a feud with Kevin Sullivan's brother . At the 1995 WCW Fall Brawl event , Page Falkinburg won his first title when he defeated Renegade and won the TV Championship title . Subsequently, the feud program with Johnny B. Badd was taken up again and at the WCW Halloween Havoc Page Falkinburg had to give up the TV title again.
Page Falkinburg was now used again in the lower combat map. The storyline for Falkinburg had lost all his money and now had to live on the street.
Page Falkinburg received another career boost when he opposed the formation of the new World order . Its members, Hall and Nash, tried to recruit Falkinburg for the nWo. The loyalty to the WCW made Falkinburg a crowd favorite. The WCW leadership turned him into a "hard-working worker" and Falkinburg had to shed the old gimmick of the arrogant nouveau riche.
At WCW Starrcade 1997 , Page Falkinburg was finally able to win the WCW US Title . He defended the title against Chris Benoit and Raven . At WCW Spring Stampede 1998 Falkinburg had to give up the title to Raven. After various matches he was given a title match against Bill Goldberg , which he was not allowed to win. Falkinburg also held the US championship title for a short time .
Page Falkinburg finally took a break after various feud programs. After his return he was reinstated as a villain and was finally allowed to hold the WCW World Heavyweight Champion title.
Page Falkinburg now formed a team with Chris Kanyon and Bam Bam Bigelow , which called itself Triad . Together they were allowed to hold the Tag Team Title.
At the WCW Spring Stampede 2000 Falkinburg was allowed to compete against Jeff Jarrett for the vacant WCW title, but not win. Page Falkinburg won the title at one of the next Nitro editions.
There was a day match for the title, which actor David Arquette was allowed to win, which brought him the WCW World Title . Falkinburg was finally written off the storyline in 2001 when he was injured by Scott Steiner . During his time out, WCW was taken over by competitor WWF.
World Wrestling Entertainment
Page Falkinburg appeared in the WWF in the summer of 2001 as a mysterious "stalker" on the side of the ECW / WCW Alliance, who was chasing the Undertaker's wife . In the next period he was allowed to win the WWF Tag Team title together with Kanyon.
Ultimately, Page Falkinburg had to start all over again in the WWF when they used him in the lower combat map. When he was used again in the middle combat map, he was allowed to win the WWE European title from Christian on January 31, 2002 and defend it against him at WrestleMania X8 . Falkinburg later had to cede the title to William Regal . In a match against Bob Holly , he sustained a serious neck injury. With this injury and also because of his age of 46 years, he decided to end his career despite an ongoing contract with the WWE.
NWA Total Nonstop Action Wrestling
Thanks to a specially developed yoga program, he got his neck problems under control without an operation. On November 12, 2004 Falkinburg debuted in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling . Here he had feud programs with Raven , Erik Watts and Jeff Jarrett . At TNA Destination X , on March 13, 2005 Falkinburg received a match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Jarrett which he had to lose. In May 2005 he left TNA to focus on his acting career.
