Raviv Ullman

Raviv Ullman ( Hebrew רביב אולמן, better known as Ricky Ullman ; * January 24, 1986 in Eilat , Israel ) is an American actor . He is best known for his role as Phil Diffy on the Phil of the Future series, which airs on Disney Channel .

Life

childhood

Ullman was born in Eilat, Israel. His parents, father Brian Ullman and mother Laura Ehrenkatz are US citizens. His maternal grandfather, Joseph Ehrenkatz, is a rabbi in Stamford , Connecticut, and his family is related to Joe Lieberman , Senator from Connecticut. After he was born, his family moved from Israel to Fairfield , Connecticut (USA). When Raviv was younger, his father worked as a clown . Ullman's interest in acting came from a musicalawakened, followed by a stay in a theater & drama camp. He also attended the camp the following summer and received both leading and supporting roles.

Personal

Ullman is fluent in Hebrew , taught himself how to play the drums , and graduated from Fairfield Warde High School in Connecticut. One of his best friends is singer and actor Jesse McCartney , of whom Ullman is also a big fan. At the same time, he made headlines in the US press when he rented a house in LA with four friends and the Australian pop duo The Veronicas while they were on tour in the US.
