The Drinjača ( Serbian - Cyrillic Дрињача ) is a left tributary of the Drina in the east of Bosnia and Herzegovina . It rises on the Konjuh mountain ( 1326  m ) 15 km northeast of Kladanj at an altitude of about 1000 m and flows into the Drina, which is dammed here to Lake Zvornik , after 77 km at the village of the same name . The catchment area of the Drinjača covers 1875 km².

Run

Before the river reaches the small town of Kladanj, it initially runs through a largely unpopulated low mountain range. Between Kladanj and Vlasenica , the narrow Drinjača valley forms the traffic corridor for the M 19-2 trunk road ( Tuzla - Vlasenica - Sarajevo ). At the village of Tišća the river of the same name flows in from the right. The Drinjača turns north and flows around the Donji Birač ridge . The Perin castle ruins are located on the left bank of the bank near Kamenica Gornja in the municipality of Šekovići . Shortly before it flows into the Drina, the river takes in the Jadar - its largest tributary - coming from the right .
