Drofenin [trade name: Spasmoplus (A) ] is a drug , which as anticonvulsant used to be Ciba patented 1,941th It is an anticholinergic that acts on both the nerves and the muscle fibers (neurotropic- musculotropic effect). Drofenine also acts as a FIASMA (functional inhibitor of acid sphingomyelinase ).

From a chemical point of view, it is a derivative of phenylacetic acid , which is related to adiphenin .

The drug is used in the form of the hydrochloride .
