Francesc Antoni de la Dueña y Cisneros
Francesc Antoni de la Dueña y Cisneros (born November 17, 1753 in Villanueva de la Fuente , Province of Ciudad Real , † November 8, 1821 in Ciudad Real ; Spanish Francisco Antonio La Dueña Cisneros or Francisco de la Dueña Cisneros ) was bishop of Urgell and ex officio thus co-prince in the Andorra condominium .
Life
He was called to Bishop of Urgell on July 24, 1797. He received his episcopal consecration on October 22, 1797, the Bishop of Avila Francisco Javier Cabrera Velasco ; Co-consecrators were Francisco de Cuerda, former Bishop of Puerto Rico , and Bishop Atanasio Puyal y Poveda . On September 23, 1816 he was called Bishop of Segorbe , thus ending his tenure as Co-Prince of Andorra.
Act
During his reign, his co-prince's chair was vacant during the turmoil of the French Revolution . From 1806–1814 (also 1815) Napoleon was co-prince, 1814–1824 Louis XVIII. Kofürst (with a short break in 1815).
