Duje Draganja (born February 27, 1983 in Split ) is a Croatian swimmer .

Career

He is particularly strong on the shorter freestyle courses . At the Olympic Games in Athens he won the silver medal in the 50 m freestyle. At the short course world championships in Manchester in 2008 Draganja swam a sensational new world record in 20.81 seconds on April 11th.

He studied at the University of California, Berkeley for four years and swam for the NCAA .
