Dullu ( Nepali दुल्लु Dullu ) is a city ( municipality ) in western Nepal in the Dailekh District in the Karnali Province .

history

The city was created in 2014 by merging the Village Development Committees Badalamji , Dullu , Naule Katuwal , Nepa , Paduka and Pusakot Chiudi . At that time, the urban area covered 112.2 km².

In the course of the restructuring of the local level and the creation of the Gaunpalikas (rural communities) by amalgamating and abolishing the Village Development Committees on March 10, 2017, the VDC Malika, Gamaudi, Kalbhairav and Gauri were also incorporated. The urban area increased to 156.77 km²

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Dullu had 30,457 inhabitants (14,819 male) in 5861 households. Due to the incorporation in 2017, the population increased to 41,540.
