Dwars door het Hageland
The Dwars door het Hageland is a Belgian road bike race . This one-day race leads around the Flemish city of Aarschot and is about 190 km in length . The 2016 event included some sections of gravel paths such as the Strade Bianche in northern Italy , but also some cobblestone passages such as Paris-Roubaix in France and some Hellingen, short steep hills, such as the Tour of Flanders .
It was held for the first time in 2001. In 2004 and 2005 and from 2013 to 2015 the bike race was not held. From 2001 to 2009 it was on the national cycling calendar in Belgium. In 2010 the race was included in the UCI Europe Tour and was classified there in category 1.2 . In 2016, when the race was reissued, it was part of the Napoleon Games Cycling Cup and upgraded to category 1.1 on the UCI Europe Tour .
